Teaching in China – Holidays

Qingming Festival aka “Tomb-Sweeping Day” was a few weeks ago and most of our English teachers had an extra day off work. Many Chinese citizens chose to spend time with their families and celebrate the holiday while foreigners got a chance to travel, enjoy an extra night out, or binge the newest TV show on their never-ending “To Watch” list.

Times like these can lead to some of our teachers reflecting back on their home countries holidays and traditions. How does an American attempt to feel at home while living in China? What about a Brit? Or a Kiwi? Luckily, Shenzhen has large communities of expats from all over the world, and we asked a few Seadragon teachers to fill us in. Check out their responses in the video below!

WARNING: DON’T WATCH IF HUNGRY!!!
