On a cold December night, SDE was celebrating an early Christmas this year. Right outside the main hall, we had a reception desk where you would sign in, receive a warm scarf, a nice Santa hat, and a box filled with exquisite candy. There was also a QR code that could be scanned, entering you into our lucky draw for the night.

In addition to awards, we also had multiple prizes given away throughout the night. The lucky winner of our top grand prize, an iPad, was Edward.

Throughout the night, there were a wide variety of performances ranging from Chinese Opera to the “Cha Cha Slide” to pop compilation mixes; The “Cha Cha Slide” was excellently planned as the performers welcomed any other attendees to come on up and join. At the beginning there were about four or five on stage, but by the end over twenty people were performing the “Cha Cha Slide”. The performances were excellent, and all of the performers were extremely talented, creative and hardworking.

At the venue, there was a wide variety of food offered; ranging from Chinese-styled cuisine to Western-styled cuisine. At every table, SDE included different types of refreshments such as beer, wine and soft drinks. However, there was a contemporary hotel bar on the main floor where you could order fancy garnished alcoholic drinks.

Outside the main hall, there was a Christmas themed backdrop. Our community of teachers signed the backdrop, and some of them decided to leave a short kind-hearted message as

All in all, the event was a huge success with over 200 people attending. We would like to thank everybody who attended, our teachers, our staff, and especially management for planning and arranging this amazing event.
