TEFL Positions China Public Schools in Shenzhen

SeaDragon Education (SDE) is contracted by the Chinese ministry of education.

We are hiring native ESL teachers to work in public schools in Futian, Nanshan, Baoan, Dapeng, Yantian, Longgang, Longhua districts in Shenzhen. There are two intakes, February and September, each year.

Responsibilities

1. Office hours :  no more than 40 hours per week ( 2 hours of lunch break)
2. Teaching hours: no more than 20 hours per week
3. Class length: 40 minutes per class ( 10 – 18 classes per week)
4. Class size: 40 – 50 students
5. Student ages: 6-18 years old (mostly in primary school, some in middle school and several in high school)
6. Teaching content: oral English ( no assignment marking, no tests)

1. Salary: 17,000 – 23,000 RMB per month （before tax)
2. Flight reimbursement: 5,ooo RMB ( reimbursed within one month after the foreign teacher officially starts working in the school )

Requirements

1. Hold a passport from UK, USA, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa
2. Possess a related teaching certificate （CELTA OR TEFL Certificate) or have at least 2 years of English teaching experience with a reference letter provided
3. Hold a Bachelor’s degree or above
4. Possess a clean criminal record and have a professional, positive, and culturally aware attitude
5. Motivated, dedicated and passionate about teaching English to students of various age groups.
